Slicers started the season off with a hard fought loss to Wheeler Bearcats 4-2 in a very hot and steamy morning. After falling behind Clair Huber able to pull the Slicers even after a beautiful pass from Natali Cuarenta. Unfortunately the heat took a toll on the hard fighting Slicers who fell behind 4-1 while making adjustments. Huber one again tallied off a very well executed pass from Anna Beck. The Slicers were able to finish out the last 20 minutes with many newcomers to the team competing in their first varsity match. The season looks brighter with a young team and valuable senior leadership.
